Advanced Open Water Course $350.00

The PADI International Advanced Open Water Course is designed to prepare you for diving through formal training.  This course is divided into two separate sections.  Section one is based upon the training manual; Adventures In Diving.  Section two is based upon five open water dives.  These dives include a night dive, deep dive and navigational dive, which are core dives.  The remaining dives are either a boat dive, drift dive, wreck dive, search and recovery dive and naturalist dive.

To participate in a PADI Advanced Open Water Course;

                # You must be at least 15 years of age and have obtained an Open Water Certification or equivalent.

                # The maximum number of people for each class is limited to 6, so bookings are essential.

On booking, you will receive a copy of the PADI Advanced Open Water Manual; Adventures In Diving, (manuals can be picked up from the dive centre). It is suggested that you read the manual and complete the exercises at the end of the core dives.

General course information

To become a qualified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, both practical and academic sessions must be completed. There are five knowledge review sessions that run for approximately half an hour each, with written exercises to be completed at the end of each session. The sessions are held at the dive sites car park before the dives are started.

Five practical sessions must be completed, all of which will be conducted in open water. The practical sessions are fully supervised, having a qualified instructor and dive master (depending on course numbers) present at all times to assist with the exercises.
